Privacy
This page explains what data Australian Performing Arts (this website) collects, why, and how to reach us about it. We are an editorial publisher covering Australia’s major performing arts companies and venues. We do not sell tickets, take bookings or hold customer accounts.
What we collect
- Server logs. Our hosting environment records standard request data (IP address, user-agent, referrer, requested URL, timestamp). These logs are kept short-term for security and abuse mitigation, and are not used for marketing.
- Analytics. If we run analytics on the site, it is privacy-respecting and aggregated. We do not build cross-site profiles of you.
- Forms. When you write to us via the contact page, your message and any details you include reach our editorial inbox. We use those details only to reply.
- Cookies. We use a small number of functional cookies (e.g. for caching and preferences). We do not run third-party advertising cookies on our own pages.
What we don’t do
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not run retargeting pixels for advertisers on this site.
- We do not require an account to read anything here.
Outbound links
We link to performing-arts companies, venues, festivals, ticketing partners and accommodation partners. Once you click an outbound link, that destination’s privacy policy applies, not ours. Where a link is an affiliate or commercial relationship we say so clearly.
Your rights
If you’re in Australia, the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles apply. You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us at [email protected] and we’ll respond within a reasonable time, usually inside 30 days.
Children
This site is general-audience editorial. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we’ll remove it.
Changes
If we materially change how we handle data, we’ll update this page and adjust the “last updated” date below.
